The Space
The River Room sits within the historic Halton Mill, overlooking the River Lune in the heart of the Lune Valley. With soaring ceilings, plain walls and natural light, it's a genuinely blank canvas. Somewhere that holds whatever energy you bring to it.
Whether you're a movement teacher looking for a regular home, a therapist running a day retreat, or a company investing in your team's wellbeing, this is a space that feels special without getting in the way.
Who Hires Here
Yoga, pilates and movement teachers- looking for a regular slot or a one-off workshop space. Our teachers set their own prices and run their sessions entirely in their own way. We have limited slots for regular classes, so get in touch to discuss availability.
Therapists, coaches and facilitators- running group sessions, day retreats or one-off events. The space lends itself beautifully to sound healing, breathwork, meditation, group therapy and beyond.
Workplace wellbeing- looking for something a step above the office meeting room? Bring your team to the Lune Valley for a morning or full day of movement and mindfulness. We work with organisations of all sizes. Visit our Work Wellness page to find out more.
Retreat organisers- The River Room makes an exceptional day retreat venue. The mill, the river and the surrounding valley create an atmosphere that's hard to manufacture anywhere else.
Hire Rates
£25- £30 an hour
Studio capacity: up to 15–20 mats
For full-day retreat pricing or bespoke packages, get in touch and we'll find something that works.

Every hire includes full use of the studio and all equipment:
Yoga mats, blocks, bricks, yoga chairs, blankets and belts
Bolsters, blankets and restorative weight bags
Yoga chairs
Candles and incense (if you'd like them)
A space to make teas and coffees for your guests
Fully heated studio
Marketing support from the River Room team for workshops and events
